House and Happenings :)

I know its been a long time since I have posted anything on here. But I am back:)

The last time I wrote we had only been in OK for just over a month. Now 3 months later, oops that has been a long time, we are doing great.

In the 3 months of being gone from the blog Aaron went to IFS (initial flight school) in Colorado, while he was in Colorado me and the kids were lucky enough to go stay at my parents house for four weeks. It was nice to be back and see family and friends. Thanks to all of you that we had some much fun with.
Aaron did great in IFS, I am so proud of him. IFS is a very hard and long month.

Tessa and Logan are great. Tessa loves going to the pool on base and the park on base also. She likes to play house and castle. She moves all the dinning chairs together to build her castle. We took her bowling for the first time and she loved it.
May baby girl had her 4th birthday this last week! I can't believe she is 4!!!! We had a little birthday party at the park with a couple close friends. And she was spoiled by everyone. I have never seen so many packages. Thank you so much to all those who were so nice and sent her a gift. She loved getting all the packages.

Logan is 6 months old now! Man he is fun to be with. He has started sitting up on his own a little. He has 2 teeth (way to soon!) and has started eating solid food. He has only had rice cereal, bananas, applesauce, and green beans. But he has loved them all:) He likes to laugh and smile at everything. And loves to watch Tessa play.

We have also been lucky enough  to have Aarons parents come and visit. It was wonderful to have them here in our home.
And David and Lacey have moved out here to OK for the summer for a job. They are about an hour and 15 min away. We have hung out with them every weekend. And Tessa has been in heaven. She loves her Charly Bea!

Alright here are some pictures in this long post with out them:) I am sure that is what everybody would rather see.
I don't have pictures of our house unpacked yet, I know I should I just haven't yet.
But here is our pictures of the house before we unpacked. Next post I will have pictures of the house all put together.

The Air Force packed up everything for us. It was so nice, I don't think I would have been able to pack our house at that time with a 6 week old. There is our front door.
Our dinning room and living room.
Our kitchen and dinning. Oh man this was a mess it took forever to unpack!
This is our office. But when we unpacked it was our paper room:)
This is the guest room. You will see in the next post that the play kitchen isn't in there anymore.
 Tessa and Logan's Bedroom
Our Bedroom, sorry about the unmade beds.
The hallway leading to all the rooms.
And here is the paper room again:) That wasn't even all of it, that room was full from floor to ceiling. Tessa had a lot of fun jumping off the chair into the paper:)

Funny Face

I am so lucky to wake up to my kids and husband everyday! I thought I would share some pictures so that you can feel just as lucky as me:)
Tessa is a crack up! She has some creative funny faces.
This is one of my favorites! Logan's face makes me laugh out loud every time I see it.

Doesn't that just brighten your day!

Tessa's First Time Skiing....and She did AMAZING!

Before we left Utah, we really wanted Tessa to get the chance to try to ski. On March 12th, we went with David, Lacey, and Charly. Tessa was so excited!!! It was all she talked about for about 2 weeks. Every time it snowed, she would say, "It's snowing, now Daddy can take me skiing." Or if you asked if she was excited to go skiing, she would answer by saying, "Ya, we will going skiing and then get hot chocolate!" She was very excited for the hot coco.
But by the time we got to the ski shop (Diamond Peak) to rent skis, it was nap time and she was getting grumpy. I was so nervous that she would be sad and hate skiing. Tessa has never liked the cold, and she hasn't been the biggest fan of the snow. I had no idea how she would do.
In the parking lot she was GRUMPY! I held my tongue and didn't say anything to her about needing to be happy, or telling her not to be grumpy so that she would have fun. I knew that would just make it worse.
I told you she was grumpy, look at that little frown. We are in the parking lot getting the ski boots on.
On the other hand, Charly was very happy and excited!

But once we got the skis on she cheered right up! I was so proud of her and Aaron was so excited to take her!
And off they went. I was crossing my fingers the whole time on this first run, hoping that when she came back up the magic carpet that she wouldn't be crying.
And  she was smiling when she got back on top of the mountain. She was having a blast and was being so brave. I remember my first time skiing and I think that I cried almost the whole time either because I was scared or cold. I am a bit of a wuss.
Logan, Lacey and I were watching on the sidelines. Logan did awesome while we watched.
Charly had gone last year with David and she was a pro. Charly has always been adventurous and has loved doing new things. I am so glad that they were able to do this together before we left. I think that is one of the hardest things being out here. Charly and Tessa are best friends and they miss each other so much! Thank goodness for skype; they talk almost every night. Tonight we talked to Charly and Lacey for over an hour. They dance together through the computer, play quaker meeting (the silent game), and are able to talk. I don't know what we would do without it.
Back to the skiing! Sorry about the tangent:) This is Tessa going all by her self! And down the bunny hill! Not just the little magic carpet run by the lodge.

Tessa said her favorite part was riding on the lift and going fast! She kept asking Aaron to go faster so that they could beat Charly. She has always been a bit of a speed junky. When we drive in the car she asks us to go faster so that we can beat the cars next to us. And she loves riding on Aaron's motorcycle.
Tessa and Daddy! They have so much fun together. I am sometimes jealous of their relationship, she always wants to play with Aaron and not me. But I do have to say, she normally wants me when she is sad or hurt or just needs a love. And I love that! Her hugs are the best and I am lucky to be her Mom.
As the girls were skiing, Logan, I, and Lacey went inside the lodge to stay warm. After a couple runs Tessa's toes were cold and the girls were promised hot coco. Tessa drank a whole 16 oz. hot coco within 10 min. and when she got done, she yelled "I beat you!"
They hit the slopes again. And both decided to go on there own. Both dads were still getting there skies on.
And Tessa WENT! I had to chase her down the mountain to help her stop!
Daddy came to the rescue, and she went the rest of the way down holding on to Aaron's ski pole.
Now, remember that 16 oz hot coco she drank so fast? Well this was the last run down the hill because that hot coco got the best of her. We had a potty accident at the end of this run:(
She was pretty sad, but she went to the car where Lacey had an extra pair of PJ's in there car.
On the way home she fell fast asleep!
Aaron and I were so proud of her. She did amazing and loved it. And we loved watching her have such a blast!

Our Family and The Start of Our Journey!

I am starting to blog again!!!
I know I have said that before, but this time I mean it. We just got to Oklahoma two weeks ago to start Aaron's pilot training! I am so proud of him; he has done a lot to get here.
I want to keep all of our loved ones in the loop of the happening here so I will be posting a lot more often. Posts to come very soon will be Tessa's first day skiing, our drive out here, our home (before and after unpacking) and more. So stay tooned!
First I want to start by posting pictures of our newest member. I am 2 months late, but better late than never. Right?

Logan was born on Dec. 28th at 5:28am. He was 6 lbs 11 oz and 19 in long. He came so fast that by the time we got to the hospital he was born 1 hour later. Which meant no epidural or pain meds:(  It HURT like crazy, but I am strangely very proud that I made it. I had wanted to go all natural, but didn't think I could. But I did, and even though it was painful (painful doesn't really explain it, don't know if you can explain it) I am glad it happened the way it did. I felt like I recovered so much more faster than I did with Tessa.
Enough with the labor and delivery details. Sorry.
We have loved having him here. And it feels like he has been apart of our family for forever. He has been such a great baby. He isn't super fussy, and is great at eating and sleeping. He is giving me at least 6 hours of sleep wakes up to eat and goes to sleep for another 4, eats and sleeps for about 2 to 3 hour more. Right now he is smiling at us, and giggled for the first time last Sunday. I love him and love being his mom.

Tessa has done great with becoming a big sister. She loves him so much and helps me so much. I was afraid that she would have some kind of resentment towards him. Or that she would digress in someway or another. But she has been fantastic! I love her so much! I can't believe she is so big. It brightens my day being with her.

I'm so LUCKY! These to kids and Aaron are my world! I love them so much and can't imagine what I would be doing with out them. Being a mom is my calling. It's what I love and what I live for!
